Hi, I have a couple of questions about cedar hedges. I recently moved to a new house where one of the previous owners, not the last one of course, was an arborist, and my backyard is full of many diffferent types of trees. The cedars are at the very back of my yard, and have not only grown very tall, but thinned out as well. Now trimming them is not going to be too much of a problem, but trying to fill in the empty spaces is.What I am thinking is to grow some more from scratch and planting them between the existing trees. Would that be possble, and how do I get my hands on cedar seeds. I am quessing that the seeds must be able to be extracted from my trees. Can someone help me in my quest for a thicker hedge. One other thing, just before the hedge is a very large veg. garden, would the hedge being close to the garden, affect the growth of the veggies?
