A friend of mine recently purchased a catnip plant, and not long after he bought it did it start wilting, darkening in color, and losing color. I thought I'd ask a few questions having to do with the care of catnip...
-Does catnip do better indoors or outdoors?
-Where should I position the catnip plant? (full sun, part shade, full shade, etc.)
-Do you have any basic care tips?

Mine did the same thing, parts would wilt, color off, some leaf loss, so I planted it outdoor in full sun in one of those half whiskey barrel which has flowers planted in it already. I found a bare spot and just stuck it down in the soil.
My outdoor cat will put her front paws up on the rim of the barrel and nibble on the leaves occasionally, even with that, the plant is looking nice and healthy now.
