hi, fairly recently, past 4 or 5 years , we are battling infestations of a green caterpillar, totally defoliating deciduous azaleas, some to the point of no return, have used BTK to try and control them and the pinch method, this was never an issue in the past, are these introduced pests from afar?? sorry no pics, thanks

They stripped a 4' Rhododendron luteum here a few years ago. Luckily new leaves broke out. Somebody on here suggested the sawfly, can't remember who or find the thread, and sure enough it was.
