I came across a few seeds for this plant and again, can find very little information such as soil type etc. Does anyone know care/germination instructions for these little guys?

    Shannon,

I don't grow this plant, so I can't help you out on the germination and care (hopefully someone can) but would love to try one sometime....

Thought you and others might like to see it in action!

That's pretty cool, thanks Bluewing! Very hard to find any information on it, guess I'll just have to experiment and hope it stays alive after it sprouts lol

    Thank you Shannon,

I'm glad you found some information! It looks like in the link you posted the info covered everything you were looking for...
After seeing the way the plant moved in the video, I MUST have one!

    Good luck with yours!

    Shannon,

It's very nice of you to offer:) The only thing is, I can't send, or except plants to/from Canada, some kind of law to guard against diseases being brought into the country..
I will look on ebay and hopefully get one in the spring.

If you get your seeds to grow, maybe you could post a photo!

    Take care!

I didn't mean it that way, I use multiple search engines on my quest for more knowledge. I'm sorry if I came off wrong.

We are all here to learn from and help each other.

Bring water to a boiling point and soak the seeds in a cup with the boiling water. This will help soften the seed shell to encourage the seeds to sprout. You can also try taking a nail filer and gently scratching the seed surface. This will also help sprout the seeds faster since they have a hard shell. Once they have sprouted, plant them with the sprouts facing down. Cactus soil works well. Make sure the soil is ALWAYS kept damp. Be careful not to overwater them

I would also suggest putting a humidity tent over them (any sandwich bag would work) as it would both help keep the soil moist and these plants love humidity. It's also recommended that the soil be fertilized once a month. Keep in mind these plants dont do well in temperatures below 70^F.

    I have 2 very happy plants (:

Hi,i bought a few seeds from a seedhouse and here is the instructions from the bag. Soak seed for 12hrs. Plant 1/2" deep in loamy soil, keep warm and lightly moist. Bright light.

    Hope this helps.
