    How do you do!
I am a new arrival to this UBC website, a transplanted Canadian on the east coast of the USA, on Cape Cod.
I have a beautifully healthy 20' high Styrax Japonica, the pyramidal variety, which has its snowbells all along the underside of each branch! It has grown from 5 to 20 ft in just 5 years and gets only about 3 or 4 hrs of direct sun perday, from about 9 to noon and the other 20 hours + it is shaded. I have advised a friend that she can plant one of my seedlings in an area totally shaded by mostly white pines. AM I CORRECT? Will it grow in constant , though filtered, shade? Please say yes :)
