Bulbs are stored in vermiculite after drying and dusting with anti fungal powder. Have been planting in pots indoors in April then planting outdoors in the ground about mid May. This year planted directly in the ground and results were fine but wondering what other gardeners in cold climates do? Planting indoors inconvenient but outdoors was difficult because full roots had sprouted and intertwined so some bulbs were unable to be separated from others.
