I am trying to locate a plant related to the cane plant. All I know about it is that when the leaves are crushed they give off the fragrance of ginger. Apparently (and perhaps not surprisingly), there is no firm answer, although there are a few good suggestions. Unfortunately, while the author gives references (author and year of publication), the references are not accompanied by a list of the actual publications, making it more difficult to read the original discussion by the original authors.
