Can you please identify this plant

I have this strange plant growing in my front yard. I've watched it grow for the past few weeks but I can't figure out what it is. The stem is a redish-purplish colour and the leaves are redish-green. Each leaf has 8 points. I've included a few pictures too. Thanks! :)

 

It's a Ricinus communis--castor bean--plant.

There is another one I have here that has red seed pods. Just take care with seeds very poisonous. (sp)
