I have been unable to identify this plant (picture taken in Minnekada, June this year).
Would welcome any information you have on it.
    Thanks

This is a species of Spiraea. If it is a wildflower from Coquitlam then it should be hardhack (Spiraea douglasii).

Forms patches in local wetlands, sometimes over large areas.

Thanks for the info - yes, the picture is of a local plant. It is interesting to note that examples of Spiraea douglasii on the internet have serrated leaves, while the plant in my picture does not.
    Again, thanks for your help

    teeth

There are some visible teeth on your image but they are rather inconspicuous and the question remains whether the description "coarseley toothed mostly above the middle" (Illustrated Flora of British Columbia) is really appropriate. I found that I also took at least two pictures of hardhack with rather small and few teeth. All my hardhack photographs are from the coastal area in southern B. C. (Greater Vancouver/Squamish). I guess that the species is so variable. Somebody please tell me if I am wrong!
