Latin name is Plumeria, common name is Frangipani. See....... http://www.plumeria.org/ Scroll down on link to see slide show! It is poisonous.
Agreed, nice and fragrant. I like to float the flowers in water in a shallow terracotta bowl on the table. Nice plant, especially in England!! Ed

The plumeria comes in different colors, different scents and next to the hisbiscus is the most popular flower in the Hawaiian Islands. In the Philippines, where I am originally from, the trees could grow from 15-28 ft. high. The flowers are popularly used in making Polynesian/Hawaiian leis and are easy to thread. My Dad was instrumental in introducing the red colored ones to the Philippines.
