This plant came up in the corner of my garden this spring and is very tall (about 8ft) and is quite spectacular. I think it may have been in a package of mixed wildflower seeds that I sprinkled in that corner last year but they didn't come up last year.
The main stem and branching stems are so heavy that a few have broken off, and I had to tie the main stem to the fence so it wouldn't fall over. The flowers are quite lacy and delicate looking, although I picked on and put it in a bowl and it is still fresh looking after 4 days. I would love to know the name of this plant.
    Thanks, Diana

It may be hollyhock, although I haven't seen pictures of any that have as many stem with flowers coming off the main stem.
    Thanks
