Today I was in Ikea and as I was walking by the plant section I saw this plant and decided to buy it. I have no idea what kind of plant it is and I would like to know so I do not kill it.

It is about 4-5 inches tall and looks like a mini palm tree.
How much water and sun does it need?

Pictures: Sorry if quality is bad, I took these on my phone.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

It looks similar to a parlor palm 'Chamaedorea elegans' Id give it bright indirect light, dapple sun is ok. Keep the soil a little on the moist side. Water well when to top inch starts to dry.

thanks, should I move it into a bigger pot?
The one it is in now is only about 4 inches in diameter.

Eventually, yes, but it's OK for a while.

I agree with togata, The pot size looks ok, the right size for now. When you do re-pot, it's best to just go up to the next bigger size pot.
