Anyone have any idea what this is? It's just exploded in the last couple of weeks. I'm wondering the name, if it will die off or will it stay year round?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure if it uploaded my pics. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

    welcome to the forum!!

putting pics in your posts here is a little different than on other sites. takes a bit to get used to :)

use the 'advanced' option to post and then scroll down to 'manage attachments' in the window that pops up, choose either

upload file from your computer and select 'browse' to locate the file, then click on it and then add more in the next boxes if you have them and then click 'upload' and wait. if the files loaded properly they'll be listed there.

    or

upload file from a url which would be a server site like photobucket and the like, open that site in a separate window or tab and then find the picture and use the 'direct link' coding and copy it and then paste in the field and then click 'upload' and wait. if the files loaded properly, they'll be listed there.

if the files don't load, you'll receive an error message and it should tell you what's wrong.

once the files upload properly, you can close that window and do the rest of your post and then do 'preview post' to make sure the pics and your comments are okay, if so, click submit.

i only use photobucket, so, not too sure about how other sites work. the code that you want begins with the following "http//img.photobucket..." and it says it's a 'direct link' using the 'img' code puts a hotlink into the post rather than the picture itself. not sure if other sites make finding the codes as easy as pb does...so, might be easier to just upload straight from your computer.

Thanks for the help. I'm still having trouble. I took 2 photos with my camera phone. I got a message that they were to big, which I know they aren't. So I'll try it this way linking it to flicker.

If this works, any idea what it is?
    Thanks again for the help.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply:-!
I googled Malva, and found a bunch of photos, but none of them seem exactly like mine. Any other ideas on other names I could try?
    Thanks again!

I think that's it ron! Thanks so much! I think it's the presidio clarkia. I live in the bay area and the website I found said it only grows here. Thanks so much for the help. I'm going to do so more research on it now.
    I love this website!!
