can you grow peach tree from a clipping

    Hi, every one new to forum, I have a peach tree that a friend gave to me it was his father's and he had a but it died,is there a way i can clip a branch to start it to root,if someone could help I would be thankful to them and my friend would be to so thank's for the help.

    Might be possible but not usual. Commercial production involves grafting. Pits sprout rather easily but may have potential to give rather different progeny from parent, same as when people have kids.

    Can you tell how to graft and where to cut the branch my friend realy want's a clipping but i'am not sure how to do it.So far this tree never produced fruit in the two year's we have had it my wife cut's if back each fall is that right to do.It is flowering right now.Thank's for the help.

    Pruning in fall would take away overwintering flower buds. Otherwise, benefit vs. detriment of pruning she is doing would depend on where each cut is being made. Maybe you need to look at some books or sites that show pruning of peach trees. Grafting is also something that is too involved to learn in a venue such as this.
