    Hello,

I have run across a type thistle plant I am unfamiliar with. I think it is invasive and came in some fill dirt, and I would like to identify what type of thistle it is if possible. If you need more images let me know. The knife blade is about 11.5 cm

    Thank you!
    Brian

Whatever, a very attractive thistle - whoever named it "horridulum" needs their head examined :-)

AI thinks about that: "Horridulum is a Latin term meaning "somewhat rough," "prickly," or "slightly horrid". It is the specific epithet for Cirsium horridulum (bristle thistle), referring to the plant's sharp, spiny nature, which can cause significant pain."
