This is a bush planted in front of my house. I am trying to identify it so that I can learn how to care for it. It has been allowed to grow wild and needs to be cut back. Can anyone help me find information on this beauty?

    Hello,

I think it is a Weigela (maybe 'Victoria'?) ... check out this picture that has a little bit of info accompanying.

I agree with Christine, it is probably a form of Weigela florida.

And a wonderful, fountainlike, graceful specimen it is. Out in the middle of a lawn, there is nothing it would be in the way of except mowing. The answer is to back off with the mower, not whack off the shrub and spoil it.
