British Columbia: Can I save my white magnolia tree?

    Hi there;
    I live in Mission BC. Yesterday with the snow my 6-7 foot tall white magnolia tree snapped off about 2-3 above the ground. Can the top section (now on my patio), or bottom part (still in the ground) still be saved. The part in the ground has the stem and 2 leaves left attached. Please help as I love this tree. We only just planted it 2 summers ago. Thanks for your help.
