I have planted numerous pots with bulbs, I get the plant to grow but no flowers, a friend suggested it might be because no flying insects to pollenate them? Don't know what to do, I also planted a hanging strawberry plant, no berries either. Thanks for your answers in advance, love the site, Im a newbie :)

More details/pictures are needed. Most commercially available bulbs need Winter chilling to
set buds to bloom. Central and Southern Florida is too warm for that to occur. Strawberries
do require pollination to set fruit.

thanks, any suggestions on what type of plants grow in full sun with high temps around a pool, I would love to line the screen cage with flowers or greenery, but don't want plants that shed too much, would end up in the pool and defeat the purpose of the screen cage.

Most people opt for Palms, Acalypha, variegated Gingers and Caladiums for color.
Bloming plants can work but you'll spend some time cleaning up spent flowers.

You can use carnivorous plants if you are willing to do some work and if no water from the pool will get in them. Full sun and the humidity from the pool is perfect for them as long as the water won't be splashing into them!
