    Can the Mighty Bankhar Dogs of Mongolia Save the Steppe?

    This is not so much a gardening story as an environmental one. I found it very encouraging at a time when so much of what we read is downright depressing.

    I hope you agree that I have not overstepped the parameters of this forum.

    Yes, and the lessons taken from these developments in Mongolia could help people in similar situations all over the world; and if this helps, even just a little, to alleviate the heavy burden put on the environment these days, then yes, it's useful to us as well.
    I mean, with the conservation of natural ecosystems comes the conservation of birds, rodents, insects etc. which are often necessary to the reproduction of many plants, from flowers to trees.
