I would look at trees and shrubs in the neighbourhood to see if any have the same leaves. If doubt remains about its garden worthiness, perhaps put it in a pot until you know its name. It looks to me like something that could grow big quickly.
So far it looks like there was a snowberry there before the cleared and mulched area was made, and it is sprouting from a surviving piece of root crown.
After searching and searching, I believe it is Japanese honeysuckle, which is invasive in many parts of the country. Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica )
