Can anyone identify this shrub/friut tree?

    The attached photo shows the fruit on the small tree in our garden on the south coast of Spain. The whole tree is about 4 feet high and the fruits are approx 4 inches in diameter.

    A species of Annona, the best fit I could find is Annona echinata.
