The leaves could be anything I'm afraid, although it reminds me some of, Ludisia discolor, black Jewel orchid leaves.

I thought the OP was referring to the tree in the background. Didn't occur to me to look at the furniture. Clarification needed.

Oh geez, I assumed you meant the plant images on the couch, lol. Did you mean the blurry image in the background?

Leaves on couch upholstery look definitely orchid-y. Tree in background could be a not-too-vigorous ficus.

That's funny. You've just pointed out a third, though less likely, possibility of it being the plant in the mirror. I was looking at the tall tree near the right edge of the picture.

    Junglekeeper,

I think the tall tree on the right is "painted" on the wall, or paper and not a real plant, There doesn't seem to be any dimension, or shadow.
Ok Ronald, your turn, lol, which one is it?

    Ronald,

taking a stab at trying to id the "couch" seemed a little easier:) I'm not sure what the tree is in the corner, some kind of painted outdoor, indoor, or imaginary tree??? Just not sure....

The image is not clear or close enough to make a positive ID on that tree. Could be a unhealthy Ficus, as has been suggested.

Agree with Bluewing - I think it's just a painting on the wall. Not a real plant, just an artist's imagination which need not resemble any real species at all.

I have to agree with the others. As it is just a painting it could be anything. It does look a bit ficus like.

    That's not a plant, that's a chair!!!!

In the back is a painting of what looks something like a badly grown Ficus benjamina. Much preferred to live Ficus benjamina because it is a very poor plant to grow indoors.

Hmm. I grew a Ficus benjamina from a feeble stick-like object to a magnificent 6' tall, full and beautiful tree. Indoors. One must ignore data that does not fit one's hypothesis, eh?

Looking at the other view, I don't think it's a Ficus but I really have no idea what it is. Sorry :(

Cereusly Steve...are you serious?? I have 2 Ficus benjamina and they're both doing beautifully. One is now 3 feet tall and the other is gaining fast!

Ficus can grow very well indoors, as long as all their requirements are met.

I can't seem to get the clearer picture to come up. Can you post a link right to the larger photo with the so called, "tree"?

The only tree I can think of with that form that is commonly available as a houseplant is a ficus - most likely to be a F. benjamina (Weeping Fig) or a cultivar of F. binnendijkii (Narrow Leaf Fig). I cannot recall ever seeing one with a stem as tall as the one in the picture; ficus standards are more like 4-5' in height.

Perhaps someone pruned it to be that way.
I would like to ask the original poster: do you want a living tree like the one in the picture, or are you just curious as to its identity?

Hi all, I think the closest is Olea europea (from Lila Pereszke)...

TOGATA57 - yes, I am interested in getting one...something similar that I could put inside my house.

    Thanks!

The size of the leaves in the picture seems too big to be that of an olive tree.
