Can anyone identify this mint?

    I found this mint growing in the woods near a town that was abandoned in 1947. It smells similar to spearmint. My best guess is that's a cultivated mint in the Mentha family that was left on it's own for over 60 years. I transplanted a small patch of it into my my mint garden.

    I was hoping someone could narrow it down to a specific species.

    I can take more pictures if it would help.

    Mentha pulegium (Pennyroyal) would be my guess!
