Can anyone identify this medicinal plant?

    Hi there. Is there anyone who would recognize this plant used in Vanuatu for stomach cleansing? It grows at the river near my house. I live in New Zealand and the Vanuatu boys who came to visit me recognized the plant. Its called nalive in their language. Thank you Alex

    Looks rather like Tradescantia fluminensis, which has white flowers. But if the flowers turn out blue, it will be a Commelina sp.
