Several years ago we were given an indoor plant which flowers only sporadically. Can any please help by identifyint what it is and how we can best look after it. Not only has it flowered this year but it is sprouting baby versions at the base! The edges of both the leaves and the flower are covered with stiff, sharp little barbs which hurt!!

Thanks Liz, the last link is almost certainly what we have got. Prickly little ******. We have named it "Audrey" after the plant in The Little Shop of Horrors!!
