I found this plant blooming in my garden, and have never seen one like it. I don't know if it's a lovely mutant, or if I picked it up at a neighborhood plant swap. In case I'm unable to post my photos, here is a description: Plant is over 3 ft high. Downward facing flowers are blue/purple, have pointed, flat, slightly overlapping petals arranged like a flat umbrella, with no spurs and no corolla. There is a central cluster of yellow stamen. The buds and leaves and growth habit are all exactly like columbine. I'd love a name for this plant! (Couldn't upload pictures.)
    Thanks.

Resending aquilegia ID request - with photos

Here is my plant description again, and I will add photos this time.
I found this plant blooming in my garden, and have never seen one like it. I don't know if it's a lovely mutant, or if I picked it up at a neighborhood plant swap. Plant is over 3 ft high. Downward facing single flowers are blue/purple, have pointed, flat, slightly overlapping petals arranged like a flat umbrella, with no spurs and no corolla, and are almost 3" across. There is a central cluster of yellow stamen. The buds and leaves and growth habit are all exactly like columbine. I'd love a name for this plant!
    Thanks.
