These pictures were sent from a friend in central Louisiana. One looks to be a type of cane but I am unsure as don't recall seeing it at this stage before. The other pictures are two types of acorns. I gave him the knife which has an eleven inch/28 cm blade so I am guessing those larger acorns are about 1 to 1 1/4 inches / 3 to 4 cm but if necessary I can probably get him to take a picture with a ruler by them. I'd appreciate any help with this, thank you.

Seeding stems might be Epilobium angustifolium. Common Fireweed. The leaves tend to dry our become quite narrow, as I recall.

Sorry, not Epilobium, definitely a grass (Poaceae), easily determined by the stem joints.

The larger acorns might be Quercus macrocarpa (if so, the fuzzy cup edges have worn off); not sure about the smaller, possibly one of the red oak group.

Thank you, I appreciate your help with this, I've asked for more pics, and some of the leaves as well.
