Can anyone identify the flower on this webpage?

    the title on this picture is My wife says it looks like ribbon candy but i think it looks like fireworks. the website is liquidmoonlight.com scroll down pictures on left side of page til you get to the flower with red and white petals with yellow green spines sticking out all over. the website is liquidmoonlight . com it is a photo gallery sight no obscene stuff just nature pics.

    It's a relative of Hakea laurina - do an image search for Hakea, and you should find something similar.

    Family Proteaceae certainly, but I think it's a species of Leucospermum, a South African genus. Possibly L. innovans or a closely related species. See this web page:
