can anyone id this tree?

A couple years ago the Arbor Day Foundation sent me some rooted twigs which are now in pots and ready to go in the ground next Spring. They were all color coded except this one. I know the leaves don't say much but the bark is rather unusual. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it might be Lagerstroemia but after a closer look at it's leaves I believe it's a Euonymus alatus. I'm surprised I missed the updated thread.

 

That is different, this can be seen in the pictures linked to above.

 

Yes and it's a keeper. Only thing now is to decide where to plant it.

 

Preferably in a place where birds won't transport the seeds. Euonymous can be a pretty invasive plant. Not a big fan of seeing it in the woods 'round these parts.

 

Let me say it a different way, the Euonymus is different from what you have and this can be seen in the other pictures, which definitely reinforce that it is not the same plant.
