can anyone ID this plant

    I germinated some palm seeds ( I think ) and planted in pots. This is what grew from the seeds. Can anyone identify them?

    These are a rush (Juncus).

    It looks more like a sedge to me because of those flowering heads. So traits that are consistent with the family Cyperaceae....problem is 70 genera & 4000 species. Where did you get the seeds, that could give us an idea of what it might be.

    Looks more like a Juncus to me, too.

    Yep, Juncus. Probably contaminant seed in the soil mix you used.

    Thanx all. I'll not buy seed from overseas again. Germinated in zip bags. These dedinitely sprouted from the seeds.
