California Native Plant Identification?

    Too young to tell - post them again when they have at least 2 leaves, and it will be easier. ID from the cotleydon stage is very, very difficult.

    That is going to be a hard one - with them being so small. Besides cotyledons usually don't resemble what the juvenile or mature leaves look like. But others may have more insight.

    the first pic i think is Lupine, and read that they should be replanted right away......anyone see the resemblence, also is there a book out there that helps identify California native plants even when their young?

    You have to wait for real leaves to be certain of ID. That first pic could be Lupines, but it could also be Lettuce or Bedstraw or a thistle. Of course, you know what the seed looked like....

    The bottom picture is California poppy. (Narrow cotyledons forked almost to the base.)
