In The Garden: cactus what is this?

I need help please. And I do apologize if I'm doing this wrong. Is it possible to tell me what this is?

 

It's an Echeveria. Which species or hybrid I'm not immediately sure; at any rate it isn't a cactus but rather a succulent.

There's a superficially similar California native plant called Dudleya you can see growing on coastal bluffs near the beach.
