I have lots of different cacti inmy windowsill and they have all developed blobs of white fluff on them and on their surrounding soil. What is this and how can I get rid of it?
Any chance you can post an image? How to attach images. Maybe mealy bugs? Does it look like anything on this page from CactiGuide? http://cactiguide.com/cactipests/#disease
from those pictures it looks mostly like the Cochineal Insect. Doesn't look like a bug,just like a sticky ball of cotton wool. I'll try to get some photos on here. But it sounds like I need to clean it all off. Can these bugs infest people in any way?
