    Hi
Could anyone please identify this cactus for my partner? It has suddenly grown a huge extension over the past three weeks and wondered if this was normal

    Many thanks

Probably a Haworthia - a succulent, (as is a cactus) but not a cactus. Cacti never produce rosettes of pointed leaves.

If I'm not mistaken that long shoot signals a blossom. It must be very happy. Barb

It is a Haworthia. H's. have triangular leaves, not angular as do Leuchtenbergia (a single species genus).
