    Hi everyone,
I just thought you all might like to see the damage cactoblastis larvae can do. In approximately 2 months they've burrowed right down to the roots on an entire prickly pear plant. The larvae shown is what I found eating just one of my prickly pears, along side about a thousand more egg-like things inside. Scary stuff!! I also discovered that these things will attack all sorts of other cactus too, so I'm definitely on the look out for more damage on my other plants.
