My clay-potted cactuses and succulents were watered on the weekend. Two days later a deluge of rain soaked them again. The rain has continued with no opportunity for drying out. All plants were brought indoors. Should I repot them to dry out the soil. Thanks so much!
I would wait to see if they start having issues. If they are potted in well draining soil they should be fine. Continual over watering will kill them, but even some deserts can get rainy days from time to time and cactus survive that. If you are really worried you could re-pot for your own peace of mind, but it shouldn't be necessary at this point.
Thank you for your advice and peace of mind. Too late. There are now unpotted plants all over my living room floor. :) The sun is breaking through, so I have begun relocating them to the porch. Probably good fortune, however, because at least three appear root bound and need new pots. Bye for now and thank you very much!
