The farmer whacked open a pod for us (without losing any fingers) and encouraged us to slurp the sweet stuff off the seeds. Some of us did. Some of us also stashed said seeds in our baggage. Three of them germinated. The farmer said that they grow well with banana plants. Apparently they supply potassium. So I canvassed the local flower shops and found myself a banana plant.
