Can anyone identify the following bush? I'm in southeast Michigan. The bush is about 6 feet tall and 5-6 feet wide. Any help would be great appreciated. I have three growing and a fourth is needed, but I'm not sure of the bush and haven't been able to confidently identify it. Thank you!
Thank you for your suggestion. It just look similar in the picture. But, ours does not turn red in the fall and I understand that bush is a burning bush. Do you know if they all turn bright red?
Dense rounded ones without prominent wings are liable to be 'Compactus'. Nurseries continue to select and introduce other forms also.
I went to a nursery this afternoon, and spoke with a very knowledgeable man who was certain that it was Euonymus ala. compacta given the size and lack of nodules on the bark. But, this site was extremely helpful for me. I wasn't sure where to begin.
