I have planted bush green beans by seeds. They have grown quite large and then all of a sudden the leaves turned yellow. Looks like some buds are starting but that is it. I have tried different sprays and washes for the leaves. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I planted mine about 3 weeks ago. They germinated & sent out their first pair of true leaves (not the cotyledons). We had one clear, hot sunny day here in the Fraser Valley BC & they got burnt to heck. Is that what happened to yours -sunburn? Now the new growth is fine...it's been growing in the grey, moist weather. The next time we get a clear, hot sunny day....they might all burn again, because they are not acclimatized. Aggh! I am having a really hard time accepting the weather in this area this year...

Try a liquid fertilizer with trace elements as well, Fl's sandy soils are notoriously lacking fertility.

Thank you, that never occurred to me. Will move them into a shaded area with partial sun and see if I can save a couple. I have peppers grown from seeds from peppers I bought in the store and they are doing great, but are in partial shade.

Marilyn, I confess I posted mainly out of my own frustration with both our cold, cloudy weather this year in the Vancouver areas, & my poor beans. I freely admit that I have no real clue as to your issues growing vegetables in Florida! So, take advice local to you over that offered by me....BTW it's STILL cloudy & cool & this is Canada Day already.
