I've been growing a burning bush in a large container for the past two years on a south facing patio. I've been watering it regularly. However, in late summer, the leaves would turn brown around the edges and brown spots would appear on the leaves. The leaves also fell prematurely before turning red. I was quite disappointed as the main reason I bought the bush was for its fall foliage. Any suggestions?

Euonymus alatus is often called "burning bush' or 'Winged spindle tree'

They do require moist soil and prefer light shade.

Try giving the bush partial shade and be sure never to let the roots dry out or get too soggy. Good luck.. we hope the plant will reward you with good colour his year.
