We have an indoor parrot plant about 1 foot high. We brought it home last year and until recently it was fine. It is a beautiful plant with parrot like flowers.

A week or two ago we noticed the infestation of bugs as per the picture. The droplets were not there previously. The plant has stopped flowering and the leaves are starting to droop.

Any advice on a cure is very welcome.

Agreed that it's mites, though I'm curious about the droplets on the plant -- had it just been misted or been out in the rain or something? It's relevant because there are some pests (aphids, mealybugs, and scale, none of which are visible in this photo) that leave droplets like this on plants.

(See the link for my recommendations for spider mite removal.)

    Thank you for your replies.

The plant has not been misted or outside. My wife says the droplets are stickey. If the problem is mites what is the best solution to get rid of them.

    Quote from link above.

Guttation fluid may contain a variety of organic and inorganic compounds, mainly sugars, and mineral nutrients, and potassium.
