what do you guys spray on your container trees?? i have neem oil but have read that it's a bad idea...how about mild dish soap/water? seaweed/water?
Hi,I use Provado Vine Weevil Killer, it is applied as a soil drench,it protects up to 6 months on soil pests, and 1 month on leaf pests besides killing vine weevils and their larvae, controls, green fly, blackfly, whitefly, sciaridfly and most sucking insects. It takes about a week to take affect on a large tree, then all the leaves etc. become poisonous, so eliminating the need to spray, hope this helps. Ashizuru
I used an oil based spray against aphids and it dried up the leaves, so oil based is no good for the leaves.
hmmm i don't think this stuff is sold in the states...my searches are coming up with retailers in the UK ..none in USA
planting and caring for a plant in it's best suited environment would likely be the best 'preventative" bug control. If infestation occurs after that is achieved, then perhaps judicious use of pest control product would be warranted.
