Also known as the Maternity Plant. I haven't seen this plant since my teens and we won't say how far back that goes. Has anyone seen this plant. It's so cool it's a succulent and drops babies from the edges of its leaves. You can find info on it at bryophyllum.com. I would really like to find where I could buy one. You can buy on line but I'd rather buy in person. I'm on the east coast
Try a search of these forums for "Kalanchoe daigremontiana" -- there are a lot of posts about the plant. It has been a frequent ID request and for residents of Florida and other warm areas, it is a serious weed. For those of us in the North, it is an interesting houseplant, especially good for children. Very easy to grow and, well, it's hard to imagine a plant that would be easier to propagate. There are a few small ones on my desk, but I am not near you. PS: Search Function is on the green bar at the top of the page.
ok got it but do you know where I can buy one up here. They seem to have disappeared. Do have to go to Fla and go weed hunting lol
No, I don't know where you can buy one. But you can try posting a request on the Sourcing Plants forum.
Eric, I've closed the Sourcing Plants forum to new posts. Too much hassle. People can post in the related forum.
There is a mail order greenhouse in your neck of the woods called Glasshouse Works and they carry this plant. Their website is www.glasshouseworks.com.
