We have a 10 year old brown turkey tree in a south facing front yard. It hasn't been very prolific or growing tall at all. The first crop is not existent and second is good if the fall is warm and dry.
This spring I'm noticing some alarming signs on the younger stems. The growth from last year is completely dark and dull looking. Some are covered in white and some in pink spots.
Thinking of pruning it heavily to get rid of diseased branches.
    Any advice would be appreciated!

No point in keeping dead branches. Otherwise, maybe the planting site is too moist for Ficus carica. Which is not ordinarily expected to ripen two crops in our region even when doing well.
