Should I cut the brown tips off the palm tree? What can I do to prevent/correct the brown tip problem. I purchased these lovely palms at local supermarket on Long Island this past summer and brought them indoors where they get morning light and indirect light rest of day. Would love to be able to bring them outdoors next summer. Any advice is welcome.

Fluoride in water can contribute to browning of leaves. Let water sit overnight before using on your palm---this allows the fluoride to dissipate. Perhaps some stress at being moved indoors as well.
If you can, post us a photo.
