    Hi guys,

I hope you can help, we planted a apple tree 2 years ago (our old beloved dog Jazz is buried beneath it) and this year some spots have appeared on the leaves, hope it is not anything serious, but any hints as to what it may be and treatment?

    Regards

    Gerard

My guess is Cedar Apple Rust, a fungus. I think it's pretty common in apple and crabapple trees. I don't know enough to recommend a treatment.

    Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae

If it is Cedar Apple Rust, the only treatment is to get rid of any nearby alternate host trees, which are actually junipers, not true cedars.
