    Santa Fe National Forest, Rio En Medio, about 9500 ft ASL
    Spruce, Aspen environment
    4 of them in a loose group.
    Spore print is brown

    Would you call it a rusty brown or a dull brown, or...?

    The photos are more red than is true, so not so rusty.

    bulbous base, brownish-redish large-medium size, i say Cortinarius.
