Howdy all im a new comer to this site... My wife got this plant from a garage sale 2 years ago 2 years later, its got this humungus stem 8 foot; and flower the nusery think? its a bromiliad..... another guru, told me it was part of the Lilliace? family both partys have never seen one it has 6 stamens not 3?????? any threads would be Appreciated,,,, Simon

The number of stamens alone no longer decides which plant family it would belong in. The former Liliaceae is now divided up into several different families spread across four different orders.
Re: oops Manfreda variegata, a member of the Agavaceae. Manfreda maculosa has white to pink flowers with much shorter stamens.
