My phalaenopsis orchid started to sprout a new stem a few weeks ago. While adjusting the supporting post I accidentally hit the stem and the tip of it broke off. Should I leave it alone or cut it back to the base to allow a new stem to grow? Will it still bloom this year?

    thanks!

Leave it alone and see what happens.
