we got a boxwood last year for our balcony and although the inner leaves seem quite green the top ones are yellow or brownish. We don't feel we are under or over watering it, so what could be the problem? Drainage is from a hole in the bottom of the very large pot....it does feel quite wet currently and I see wet beneath the pot. I fertilized it according to the nursery's instructions. Should I trim it?

You might want to gently slide it out of the pot to check for bugs and to see if it is root bound. If it is root bound, you either need to trim the roots back very gently to help it form new roots and new growth or find it a bigger pot. If you have little blocks of some sort you can stick under the pot to elevate it out of the moisture that might also help - especially is what you see is roots with browned tips (they should be white and brown means they are too damp and are rotting).

If you have bugs, post picts of the bugs or if it isn't root bound/roots rotting. Maybe someone will be able to be of more help! A picture is worth a thousand words, don't remember off the top of my head who said that but it is very true.
